I only had the phone a month and bought a plastic shell case for it so the screen wouldn't get scratched.

It must have been a bit of grit that has got under it and rubbed on the screen scratching it.

I bought some displex stuff but it actually caused a few more scratches.

My question is, is the outer screen area part of the LCD or is the glass area a seperate part as to me it looks tinted and if the below includes it then its see through !!

Other than that I think its a great phone apart from this !!

Cheers

thats why i allways use soft socks...bad luck kiddo....you can replace it by your local workshop..it will cost €50-100 something..but i think it worth it if the scratches are deep .

i use this socks by the way...fits perfect..

^^^ nope it has no glass screen bit

is it too deep? if its quite a small scratch some whitening toothpaste and a soft (ish) cloth helped with my mums k810i (just don't get the toothpaste round the edges, try to cover them up with masking tape)

the outer lens is normally separate from the actual lcd.
in the k800 and k810 it's stuck to the inside edge of the
front face plate, so at a guess the ebay images just doesn't
show the lens part.

This guy on ebay is saying the outer lense is part of the LCD, surely not as I can get my fingernail down the side of it !!

I think leegt5 not looking for LCD screen, but the glass / plastic cover above it.
btw, try to use invisible shield. it not only protect the screen, but also the entire body.

Just to let anyone know, Carphone Warehouse do a repair service and will replace the whole housing with screen for £45.
Its such a shame that Sony Ericsson did not make the screen scratch resistant.
