So after having numerous sony ericssons i have never used the e mail function. Mainly cus i used hotmail and never wanted to change. But hey times are changing and i would like to use it now. So can someone give me a step by step guide on how to do it. . . What e mail company to use etc like google yahoo etc. I just really dont have a clue on this one so any help is really appreciated. Thanks

What you could do is sign up for a GoogleMail account and then use the Sony Ericsson e-mail configurator to set it up for you:

After you have signed up you use that page to choose your provider, country, e-mail provider then input your details and it will send them as a text message to your phone which will install all the settings for you automatically. You can even use IMAP Push then!

If you want to use hotmail with your SE you could use flurry. Its a nice j2me app that lets you use your windows live mail account almost like a pop3 account.

Just search for flurry on google.

i can do that at the moment with opera mini, i want to be able to go into messages and go straight to email

It sounds like the SE website has some problems...

You can try to use the autoconfiguration option in the phone. Go to messaging -> Email -> Accounts -> New account and follow the steps in the wizard. Depending on which operator SW you have the settings should be downloaded.
