My P1 touch-screen is dead since last night. The screen works fine in all aspects apart from using its touchscreen capabilities, but this of course makes the phone difficult/impossible to use for some actions. Anyone experienced and resolved this??

Most of the UIQ interface should be usable without touch screen.

While you don't send it to fix, remember that the scroll wheel clicks down, and the cursor buttons * and # are used in many places to select options.

Many of use become so adicted to touch screen that don't even remember that.

I'm sure a lot of people do remember, but you might as well use it while it's there! I'd recommend you send it back too.

The screen on my old W950 did exactly the same thing, I am afraid it sounds like you need a replacement screen. Has the screen had any moisture on it rain? screen cleaner? that is what ruined mine. Cost me about £80 for a new one as my W950 can from ebay so had no guarentee with it
