ARTICLE HGHLIGHTS (unbiased)
All phones had final firmware. LG and Samsung are going to get a software update "soon", the K850 the 50th week of '07. There was a great difference in picture quality going from phone to phone. The most even results came from the K850 and LG Viewty. The N95 is still best in our opinion, yet it added too much artifical color, overfocused, and had problems focusing on dark objects. The G800 turned out to be a disappointment. It had great trouble focusing when using zoom. It also delivered very bleek colors. The K850's xenon flash breezed through night shots, sometimes even adding too much light. The G800 also has a xenon flash, but not nearly as powerful. The most natural colors came from the K850 and LG Viewty. The LG was quickest in picture rendition, the k850 in taking pictures overall. All pictures in the test were taken in auto mode, except for macro when taking pics of details. The K850 is said to have best user interface. LG's was also very nice, quick thanks to the touch screen, although some of the icons were a bit misleading.

why dont you just go and have a LOOK at the photos in full size first
N95 easily won most of the daylight shots. I am not saying N95 picts are perfect but in daylight its picts are just in a class of its own.

Do you guys think the new K850 firmware will considerably improve pic quality? (Software can't change the optics or sensor)

N95 is the best but that doesnt mean it does not have deficiencies. It just means that it is
better than the rest.
