I'm having some SMS issues on my p1i:
a) Sending a vCard: the vCard does not get sent, but remains in the Outbox.
b) View folder SIM: Shows the same contents as Inbox. There seems to be no difference between SIM and Inbox as far as SMS messages are concerned.
c) Sometimes, I get errors in message totals: Inbox shows 18 unread when all are read.
Anybody else facing these issues?

I'd start with a master reset of the phone as it sounds like there's some file corruption in your messaging app, if that doesn't work then reformat the internal disk to reset the file system. This is accessed via the hidden system menu: * jogup * jogdown jogdown * jogdown *
Both master reset and disk format will erase all your personal data and settings btw.
If neither of the above work then reflash your phone via SEUS, if you've done this before then delete the contents of SEUS's 'db' folder first as this will force it to download a new copy of the firmware.

Thanks, @AD. I've already done a master reset using Control Panel -> Master Reset last week, but I think I should try the disk reformat and see it it fixes everything, including the other bugs I have been facing. I've already upgraded to WGA 1 + latest, BTW.
If I do a backup using PC Suite and then restore, does everything get backed up and restored, including calendar, contacts, settings, customizations?

Yes. Although I have heard many people say that a full backup and restore between firmware updates is a bad idea, especially the apps. Never had an issue myself, but something to bear in mind.
As to your first post, is you attach a vcard to a sms doesn't it become a MMS or email? I thought that you could only send raw text via a SMS

I personally don't use backups, I simply sync my phone with outlook before and after flashing. I would try getting seus yo download a new copy of your firmware if problems persist, as the first one may be slightly corrupt.
