do you think my phone is save able?
would really appreciate the help as am devastated.

sorry to hear.
take it back from where you bought the handset and ask if they offer a repair service(if you purchased from a mobile phone retailer). Carphonewarehouse has on site repair service as long as you can provide a proof of purchase i believe.
*also most comprehensive mobile phone insurance also covers for water damage, worth looking into

if its under 28 days old and you take it back compaining that it did that and you dont know why they should replace it straight away

I think that you need to buy the insurance at the time of buying the phone. This stops people buying the insurance just to make a claim.

if i bring it back will they not just take it apart and say its water damaged? do you think it would be useful to send it to a mobile repair company?

Theres a little white sensor hidden inside the phone that changes colour if it gets water on it ( red if I remember correctly ) so theres a 50 / 50 chance the repair centre will notice its got wet.
Try taking it back to the shop, explain the phone just started playing up & hope they swop it & not send it away for repair.

Sorry to pour cold water but if the dots/little piece of white sticker inside batt compartment become red it is 100% they will notice it as I believe it is there so the service centre can tell whether the phone is damage by water.

trust me, its easy to find out if the phone is water damaged.
1. the sticker is red
2. there is usually corrosion on the main board

From first hand experince, I can tell you that when I dropped my phone in water and it started playing up, it was the beginning of the end.
It retained certain fucntions right to the end, but eventually became unusable. Hope this is not the case for you though.
