I am going to say adios to my old K800 and get a new phone, the k850 didn't convince me specially in the price so I have two symbian phones that enter my budget right now: the N95 and the P1
What I am still afraid of with the N95 is the build quality and battery life(but it got 25% more since the V20 fw) and on the P1 side the ugly design!!
So what to buy?

Having owned both phones, I would definitely say the P1i.

Having used both,i'd say N95, theres hundreds of Symbian s60v3 softwares for it, fast camera with new v20 fw, it has an Accelerometer with a lot of apps for it coming out to keep you entertained, the new N95s (the ones that are written Nokia Nseries on the batt cover) have improved build quality, great 5MP camera, great video recording, its an absolute powerhouse, has GPRS/EDGE/3G/HSDPA (3.6mbps) also both WiFi b/g. And it looks beautiful especialy in Sand colour. Theres just so many reasons why you should take it over P1 ever since that v20 FW.

The N95 + fw v20 can match the battery consumption of the P1?

Haven't owned the N95 but have used plenty. The software support for S60v3 has already been pointed out. You'll never have to hunt for an application for it that's for certain.

I have said it before on here though, the reliability still hasn't been sorted out on them. One user in my office is now on his 5th phone in one year, the other has had 3. There's only 8 of us in our office, they're the only 2 that have N95's and they've managed 8 phones between them so far. Issues with over heating, battery problems, screen defects and just not starting up.

As for the P1i. I've had mine pretty much since the release in the UK. 3 of us now have them in our office, all very pleased with them. I have enough software to keep me interested. It's the most stable smart phone I've had yet, the extra memory really does make a difference.

What about the video recording/playback and speaker quality?

Ive got two friends who have N95 and both have had them since their release and both of them are stable and are working great with v20 fw. N95 definetly takes it when it comes to video, the N95 UI speed is also faster than P1. Battery life im not sure about, the P1 probably may have a slightly better battery life since it doesn't have deal with all the battery hungry features the N95 has but with v20 fw the N95 realy does last longer than it used to.

Here is my opinion.

-N95 5Mp camera is one of the best vs a mediocre 3Mp for P1

-N95 has vga 30fps video recording with 4X more pixels and twice the frame rate than p1 video .

- N95 has GPS built in with FREE map of many countries in the world. If you ever need nav on P1 you have to buy additional GPS receiver (meaning another device to carry).

- N95 has wifi b/g support whereas P1 has wifi-b only which may lead to compatibility problem with hotspot.

- N95 has built-in 3.5mm jack which mean you can use your own headset unlike P1 which you need to plug in another adapter (more gadget to bring along).

- N95 has a standard mini-usb port. P1 dont have which mean you have to carry the proprietary cable when u need to connect to PC. (this made using p-series as a removable drive anywhere out of the question)

- N95 has a much faster processor incl. better graphic chip allowing for running of complex app (like web browser) at good response level. And N95 built-in safari browser is one of the best.

- If you are into game, N95 is compatible with the new Ngage gaming platform thus have the possibility to play great 3D game.

- N95 has stereo speakers. Good for showing/watching video with your friends.

- N95 has TV-out port. This means you can show your glorious photo/video immediately on the tv (without needing first to convert compatible format and burn to disc). P1 has no such capability.

- N95 has more 3rd party software and more expandability.

I currenly own and P1 and have owned an N95.

The N95 was SIM Free and sold for the following reasons:

Appaling Battery Life (I had to carry 2 spares plus one in the phone!)
Lousy Build Quality (Slider started wobbling after three weeks)
I could not get along without a touch screen
5Mega pixel sensor fab idea but with the N95 poor lens results = poop pictures so pure hype

IMHO Dont waste your money on an N95
