hello I am new here so please forgive my approach. I am using p1i on orange UK and have no problems connecting to net. The problem I do have is that using exactly the same email account settings as my p990i I can receive email for both orange.net and aol.com but I cannot send on either.(I could before!!)
I saw helpful posts elsewhere but to no avail. I am new so please bear with me.
As per many others I can receive emails but not send..both on orange.net and aol.com (IMAP)
I guess its either the smtp settings for example I am using smtp.aol.com ..(pop.aol.com for incoming ) and I can receive but not send. I tried using my smtp.orange.net fpr the outgoing stuff (for both aol.com and orange.net in case orange will only send outgoing via orange.net (the advanced port settings just baffle me I got them sent from SE) ...didnt work. the only thing I can think of is that the internet account for net access is orange gprs wap whereas on my p990i i think it was orange gprs would this make a difference. ?
I also tried using a 3rd party webmail prog called easymail (for uiq 3)but alas i just keep getting a message that all servers are down. I hope you can help maybe I should post this? I just figured out how to
