Hi,
I had a K800 : pop3 email worked, scheduleworld syncd and ebuddy (java) connected all fine. Now I have P1 and none of them work : am I alone in experiencing this or do others have similar issues.

P1 works great on SMTP and POP3. Must be some settings on the P1 that are missing.
Have you checked all connections in control panel?

Same pop3 A/C I used on the K800 with all the same connection details as far as I can see. Phone just sits there with "Establishing connection via Internet" message. Am using uk voda so use the ip of their smtp server for outgoing (which doesn't go out).

Check if you have the right internet connection on internet accounts group. There are groups for e-mail, and you have to add the right internet connection for them too.

I get the globe OK and yes it flashes as if data were being exchanged, just no emails ever get sent and none are received.

I think 'internet' in the message refers to the 'internet' group of accounts found under the control panel settings - connections - internet accounts - groups tab, make sure your actual connection is included in this group.
