> w610i - application uses too much memory error
Bookmark topic
I would like to know if any of you faced this problem and if so, is there any known solution. I am working on a j2me application, the jar size of which is around 350Kb. While I am able to use the app on various other SE devices (viz. k750, w810i, k610 etc.) without problems, when I open the app on w610i, just when its about to start I get this error: 'The application uses too much memory'.
Is there any limitation of jar size for this phone. Also since the heap memory on most of these phones is ranged b/w 512 - 1.5 Mb (expandable) its difficult to believe that could be a problem cuz the app works on other phones.
Any though on this would be highly appreciated....Thanks in advance....

hi
im sure that this is a bug you have. the w610 can even open more than one java app at the same time(~11 apps). what firmware version has your phone?

I don't think there is any bug atleast not something so obvious that prevents the app to even start ... Moreover, I have tested the app on several other phones and it works very fine. However there is something definitely which the phone does not like which is not obvious to me.
The firmware ver (w610i) is R1JD001. Thanks for ur reply.

restarting the phone does not help...
what surprises me is the app works perfectly fine on older phones like k610i or w810i etc as compared to a brand new phone like w610. Its sad that newer phones come with new problems.
