> Does P1i need to be kept in a Case
Bookmark topic
I've had my P1i for a couple of weeks now and have been keeping it in the pouch it came with. However I would like to know if it really needs a pouch or case.
e.g. if you were to just keep it in your pocket (on it's own, no keys or coins) would the screen be ok or is there a possibility the screen will get scratched or damaged?

Since I got my Martin Fields screenprotector I've been putting it without a case or pouch in my pocket without any problems for months now...

If you want to be able to use your p1i without a case you may want to look into a full body shield. The shield is worth it especially considering the fact that you have a lifetime replacement on it, so if you have to send your phone in for repairs or anything else they'll send you a new one. i swear by these things. Heres a link to
the site.

I only use it with a MartinFields screen protector, and it's a must!
I've had a couple of bad accidents with my P1:
1. It felt from my pocket once on the tarmac and jumped at least 3 times until it stopped under a car. I could not believe that it only had a couple scratches on the side!
The P1 front is aluminum and it's hard stuff.
2. Other time, the P1 slipped from my hand and screen fell on the edge of my desk and then into the ground :-0
The MartinFields screen protector has dent right in the middle of the screen to attest the violence of the impact, but the screen survived unharmed.
Or either this phone is hard to break, or I'm a really lucky guy!

i always just keep it in my pocket..a screen protector goes on before its out of the box. but let me suggest you clean the lint out of your pockets,it likes to hide in the logdial and can cause it to act funny.

Ok so I would like to get a screen protector.
But here in Moscow I doubt that I can buy one for a P1i, what other phones have the same screen size or at least close to the P1i so I only have to cut one side of the protector to get it to fit?

Don't buy any screen protector, buy a good one. Don't say I didn't warn you!
Just one example: If you choose wrong, you will have more difficulty tapping the screen (material/thickness), or more difficulty seeing on sun light.
Do like most of us outside United States do -> Buy by credit card + regular mail.
I've bought one from US didn't pay customs (it's a small/cheap item)
I recomend the MartinFields screen protector. It's very good.

I too have a martin fields screen protector and considering it is a touch screen phone these protecters are needed to avoid damage to the screen.
Mine works a charm i've even washed it and reused it! One question however is someone here mentioned about lint in the jog wheel, how would someone go about cleaning the jog wheel? Just thought i'd ask before i am faced with the problem.
