is there someway then when i close the phone... slide it down that it closes all my open applications or windows? rather then holding down the back button everytime... gets annoying!!

What if you accidentally close it? That could cause major data loss. And then, what if you want to close the phone, but continue working with your apps? You'll have to change the setting manually again.

I don't own a S500, but I doubt there is one. Try looking through the settings and the manual, though.
