> K850i screen turns off

Hi, a very annoying problem has developed with my K850. If you press anywhere on the left hand side of the keypad (even if you press down on the left hand side of the case) the creen turns off.
After a few seconds if you press any button, the phone lights back up, still in the menu it was in when the screen turned off.
Intrestingly the problem only started occuring after i had my phone unlocked. Can unlocking the phone create this type of problem? It would seem more hardware related to me??
Any help / adivice is much appreciated!!

how did u unlocked the fone?
btw if its still under warranty, then let it check by experts, visit the nearest se shop

Was the unlock finished completely?
Were you able to use different sim card?
half done unlocking, ie sim signature calculation step has this problem sometimes.
The battery drains off too quick , shuts down automatically.
