Just in case anybody else from Switzerland is attending this list... I've just called my service-center of choice, and I was, hm... let's say, "disappointed". They still don't have the slightest clue! And the price is estimated to be between 1300 and 1500 CHF (around 880 to 1050 US$!) That's insane! So, if you're going for one, however, check some online-dealers. I found one who'll sell it for 1100.-, keeping full warranty, and that's quite a saving!
I'm bugging 'em almost daily, and I'm quite sure I'll know quite early when they will get some...
So long, enjoy the holidays

Dam'it! I'm so nervous... And now, guess what! The swiss page (www.sonyericsson.com/ch) is unavailable, it seems... I sincerely hope they're updating because the phone comes to our cute little country. Wouldn't be the first time that we get something a bit earlier than others... I keep praying. (Tho it looks like I'm the only cheese-eating, chocolate-fooding swiss cow-boy here...

keep us posted...I live back and forth between Switzerland and Canada and assume Switzerland will get the P800 first. Maybe I'll get my relatives there to buy me one as a late "christmas gift" .

I've been told lately that it won't hit the shelves before 2003 in our country...

Still hanging on ....

Trust no one! Especially no one involved with
I WANT THAT PHONE!!!!
BTW, the shop I was talking about is www.myhandy.ch
They are VERY competent, VERY forthcoming and really nice, and after all: cheap.
I've bought some accessories for myT68 there, as well as a 6310i with accessories. Great price, great value.

kewl, some Swiss guys here... chönntäd ja eigentli uf schwiizerdütsch schriibä, nid?
but btt: The P800 will not hit the shelves before beginning of February 2003 in our beautiful little country... sorry mates! Got that info from a SE Product Manager.
And btw: I don't think myhandy.ch is that cheap... just checked the price for a MCA-25 and a HBH-30, and Mediamarkt is in both cases around CHF 30.- cheaper than myhandy.ch

CHeers,
Rog.

@rog: désolé pour le schwitzerdütsch, je ne le parle pas

But did you see the P800 price on myHandy.ch? Approx. 1098 Chf! That is 300.- less than the price expected (I was told 1300-1500.- by a Phone House dealer). Okay, the phone isn't out yet, but it might prove interesting!

@rog
Well, you gotta go get the newsletter then...
But honestly: Do you really think MediaMarkt is cheap for anything? I haven't seen anything only nearly at a good price for quite a while. And so far, I've never been disappointed with myhandy. The price of 1090.- actually IS good, I guess. Even better since I'll get my P800 in January....
Und tschüss

@doowap
I ordered mine this afternoon. Including shipping 1093.50. And: When they get it, the ask if you still want it, and you could still say no. (Just in case you find it cheaper in MediaMarkt *rofl*)

And: No, I'm not involved with myhandy in any way
