> P1 cannot answer incoming calls!
Bookmark topic
I just bougth a new P1 in Dubai two weeks ago and it was working fine. After two days I upgraded to the new firmware ( Middle East region Generic). It continued to work fine for another day. Then suddenly any incoming call could not be answerd. It was if the phone was frozen and nothing you do or touch on the screen would help. And if I made a call it would last only 15 secs. and then disconect. I tried several tricks mentioned on the forum, but nothing works. Most of the phones other functions were working.(I haven't tried them all)
Has anyone experienced this problem and is there a solution??
Thanks

Not sure exactly what tricks you have tried already, but you may wish to master reset and format the internal memory. You may also wish to reflash the latest firmware with SEUS, if you have not already done this.

Hi, yea , I have tried everything under the sun mentioned here in the Forum.
Since I last posted this question I took the P1 to my local SE service center and it has turned out I am not the only one here who has this problem!!!
It seems that this is a weird querk either in the hardware settings or the new P1 firmware which is causing some incompatibility with my GSM phone provider(Mobinil) and is causing the calls not to be completed !!! The funny thing is that this problem seems to be happening in some areas of the city and not in others......The guy at the SE center told me it has something to do with the swithces or something like that !!!!!
they are now consulting SE main offices to find a sofware solution for this weird problem !!!!!!!

Well SE here in Egypt solved the problem for me. They flashed the phone and reinstalled the firmware. It seems that the updated firmware I had installed was causing this proble.
If you are in Egypt go to their office in Nasr city ( off abbas El Akad Street) and they will do it for you for free if you are still in warranty.

Guys I upgraded to R6G04 few days ago. I have started facing the same problem only after the upgrade. Its like I get an incoming call. I click on the YES button (using touch screen obviously) and then the YES and the NO button both get sellected. I see the call is still incoming but cannot answer it nor reject it. I dont know what is causing this but its quite frustrating. I am on Vodaphone but i dont really think its their mistake.
