Anybody with a Pre-Commercial Unit?
How do i install new apps to the phone?? When i send an app (.sis file) to the phone it says :
"..following software must be on the device before installation can proceed : SonyEricssonP80xPlatformProductID version 1.00 ...... install this software and begin the installation again."
Any ideas?

You need the PC Suite software that (hopefully) came with your P800. I know the pre-commercial units didn't have them in the box, but I think they were included with the software dev CDs that should have been in the kit available from SE. Another way is to put the SIS file on a web site and download it from the phones web browser. I'm 99% sure that software will install that way.

Hmm... The error message you have seems to indicate that you might need to get your phone updated to the release version. It says it wants version 1.0. You likely have an earlier version if you have a pre-commercial unit.

Yep, that's the 'safety check' that won't allow software to be installed on pre-release devices. The software author doesn't want you complaining about instability on an unreleased platform

@firad12: No, you can't. 9210 uses different UI classes than P800. And, it has an older version of Symbian OS so APIs might be different on the P800. 7650 and 9210 apps have to be ported to UIQ before you'll be able to run them on P800.
