I have done some extensive browsing reading reviews and the like on these 3 screen protectors. I am ordering my P1 soon and I need the best screen protector possible with little or no loss to screen clarity and sensitivity. Also one that repels dust and fingerprints very well.

All 3 products received all round good reviews. Two of the 3 sites offer demo videos as well. Each proposes to offer the best protection. Some stood out more than others such as the InvisibleShield. It seemed rather strong (see:http://www.untenohana.com/archives/videos/ipod_scratch_test/fan_video.html). I can attest to the Boxwave being decent as it use it on my Canon Powershot SD750. But I think I may want to try something else.

The 3 contenders:

1. MartinFields Overlay Plus :

Crystal Clear
Super Thin-0.2mm
UV Protection
High Scratch Resistance
No bubbles,easy to apply
Washable and reusable

2. Boxwave:

Dust Repelling
Bubble-free Application
Fingerprint Free
Sized to specifically fit the Sony Ericsson P1i
Improves Handwriting Recognition
Reduces 90% of UV Rays Caused by Reflected Light, Protecting your Eyes
Isn't flimsy, but made from firmer high-grade thermoplastics designed for durability
Washable and Reusable
Protects Sensitive Touchscreen against Scratches
Includes a ClearTouch Applicator
Includes a micro-fiber cleaning cloth

3. InvisibleShield;

Scratch Proof Film
Invisible Protection
Lifetime Guarantee
Free Shipping

As you can see these are 3 very good contenders. I am pleased with the Boxwave on my camera but the boxwave is the priciest of the lot. The Invisibleshield seems rather impressive though and the demo videos displaying it is almost impenetrable is a very good selling point. Also love that they have a full bodied version for the P1 as well.

I know many of you have used the above. Can I get some feedback? Would also be nice if someone has used one or more and can give personal opinion.

Thanks.

I have an amazing "New Emperor invisible screen jacket" which came free with my P990. True, i keep my phone in a holder, and don't write on the screen with a biro, but no scratches on my screen.

HI!

I've used Martin Fields on both my P800 and now my P990. Had a little difficulty to put it on my P990 but when I finally got it on properly you don't feel/see any protector. Recomendable!

My main concern with screen protectors are that they MUST be able to not catch fingerprints. Many of these clear ones catch alot of fingerprints and grease, which is what I hate. I always use my fingers on my P1, almost never the pen.

I currently have an anti-glare one which is great, never catch a fingerprint. But it kinda ruins the picture quality a little, colors and contrast are a little bit off (I've gotten used to it a little).

If anyone can recommend a screen protector for that would be greatly appreciated.

I highly recomened the invisible shield all the way. Ive used them on my last 4 phones and i love them, especially the full body shields, they do a grat job of guarding against nicks and scuffs. However they can get as greasy as your phone normally would. but i dont think its a big deal a simple wipe on the sleeve and its good as new.

I used Boxwaves on my P900 and I have Martin Fields on my P1. I must say i really prefer the Martin Fields. Allthough handwriting is slightly easier on the boxwave the fact that you hardly notice that the Martin Fields is there is just really great.

I have the InvisibleShield on my P1i (screen only, not full body protection). Fitting is a bit of a fiddle using wet-spray solution/leaving device off for 24hrs (if follow manufacturer recommendation). Overall I'm pleased with it. As said above, you do have to wipe it occasionally to remove greasy marks - but IMO you have to do that without/with protector, regardless of make.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I went ahead and ordered the Martin Fields. If it does not suit me I will try another one. I use the Boxwave for my camera currently.
