Hi, I friend is selling me a Sony J5.
However I have serious doubts about it being genuine. In fact I know it's proably nicked, as it came with a sim card that displays "Sim Lock" and when I put in another orange sim it displays "Not Registered". Just wondering if there's any way around this (would like to keep orange), or any way in which I could unblock it? Thanks in advance,

if you have any doubts, dont buy it.

But i think orange seem to have problems with phones...
My sim free T68 seemed to have the same problems. Sometimes when i put a orange sim in it it would say "not registered". I know my phone is not stolen however cos i got it brand new. Im hoping its just orange being funny about me owning a phone that isnt yet available on thier network...

I remember awhile ago one2one had a page on there site where you could enter the IMEI number and check if the phone was blacklisted. I have gone back to the site and cannot find this anywhere, does anyone know any other places you can do this, because that might help you to check if it was nicked.
