I have a Motorola SLVR L7 Quadband unlocked phone. I use it in the US on pre-paid T-Mobile service. I also used it when traveling in Asia with local SIM cards from Thailand and Indonesia. I used the T-Mobile service to roam in Belize and Mexico.
Recently in Roatan Honduras I could see the service the phone was trying to log onto but I would never get a signal and the phone reported no service. Other phones from friends seemed to work. Does anybody have a explanation for this or anybody that this happened to? Was my Antenna of the Motorola maybe not strong enough to receive a signal or maybe T-Mobile blocked me from roaming?

First of all, what networks do you friends belong to.

And do you know the networks they roamed on in Honduras

they had Cingular/ATT service using their iphone. I am about to get a K850 though. I travel a lot and was wondering if it was my phone or T-Mobile not having a roaming agreement.
I think my friends locked onto Telefonica Celular S.A (CELTEL) but I am not 100% sure of that.
Looking here however it looks like T-Mobile has a roaming agreement with Honduras, could it be different for Pre-paid services?:

Sometimes being on prepaid makes a difference, don't know, whether this is the case here.
