Does anyone know how to remove a stuck stylus from a P990? Before you suggest it, the stuck stylus ISN'T a branded SE one so I can't stick a head in and screw the barrel out. I lost my original SE stylus and whilst I was waiting for some new branded ones to arrive I used a cheap stylus. I only discovered how flimsy it was when the bottom half got wedged inside the phone, the plastic was just wedged into the metal barrel. Whilst trying to pry the metal barrel out, I made it worse by pushing it further in and now my LOCK switch is stuck. Moral of the story - NEVER EVER EVER buy cheap imitation styli! I've learnt my lesson, but I want to have somewhere to put my new SE branded stylus. Can I get it out if I buy a Torx T6 screwdriver and disassemble the casing, or will I need professional help?

If you can't jam someting into the end of the stylus to pull it back out, then wether you take it apart yourself or get a service centre to do it comes down to your own confidence. I've never taken a 990 apart but did take my old 910 to peices several times when changing shells, it requires a steady hand, a good memory for where everything goes, and not too much force as some of the mounting clips are very small and delicate. Most of all proceed slowly......

I would test how deep it is stuck inside then very VERY carefully apply some super glue to a temporarily lengthened stylus and push it over the stuck piece and when its dry remove it.
But then I dont mind taking chances !!

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I'm not sure I've got the nerve to completely take the phone apart. I guess I was hoping that I could unscrew the back housing to expose the stylus so I could get access to it and prise it out, but from what I can tell from scouring the forum, the housing for the P990 stylus is completely enclosed (is that correct?). So annoying, as my M600 stylus is easily accessible by removing the back cover and battery.

Will consider the super glue option, but knowing my luck I'll end up super-glueing an elongated stick permanently to my phone ...
