I just ordered my T68i for T-Mobile service here in the states ($250-$250=$0)...
Pretty excited given it's small form factor and great battery life. I have a friend with one who likes it a lot. I also plan on using it to connect via GPRS with a new Dell Axim and Socket Communications Bluetooth CompactFlash card.
I am anxious to see how the reception is, as I've read good & bad (my friend never had trouble, but sometimes I can't get ahold of him... not sure if it's the service or phone... I did use it OK in the basement of a building, not bad, better than my Sprint phone)...
I was just wondering what resolution/size pictures need to be to be beamed from the pocketPC to the T68i to show up when contacts call me and for background display on the phone.
Also, if there are any known tricks that you need to get the Socket card and T68i working together well that'd be great. I have so far only read good things about Socket, so I'm hoping for the best.
I also ordered one of those cool inward-facing holsters for the phone.
Coming from the Sprint PCSVision service (unusable garbage), I was very impressed with the ease of use and speed of GPRS SMS, internet, etc.... and the battery life is unbeatable. I'm lucky if my phone lasts 30 hours, with little use. If I play games at all or use the internet, I'm lucky to get 10 hours sometimes.
I've been browsing this forum for a while, reading stuff here has made me feel better about getting a new phone with "newer" technology like GPRS and bluetooth.
Thanks,
-Steve
