i have just brought a sony ericsson s500i. mostly as it is only a few months old, and it was cheap.
i know nothing about this phone,
do you put a sim card in it?? if so, where, and is there a manual that i can get anywhere? and what accessories are good to have?
as all i have is the phone and the charger! lol
any help at all please?

pop out the rear cover (requires some pressure)
remove the battery
on the top-right side you'll find your simcard.
using a small pencil or other object you can push it a little bit back into the phone.
this will release the simcard back to you

You should find a datacable inside your box.
when you don't have any, you could go to a service center (or any mobile retailer) they can help you out with your datacable.
