What is the best way to transfer my P905 contacts to my P1i?
I had the P1i smartphone sync software installed and working fine - I installed the old ver PC Suite to transfer the info from the P905 to Outlook - which I have now done - but now the P1i will not connect

- are they not compatible on the same PC?
Aaaghhh!
Further on from that - my son has a K750 wil there be issues with that connecting on the same machine?
Thanks for any advice...

hi arvinlad
much appreciate a detailed instruction for getting data from a P910 to P91i. The SE dealer said it would be a breeze, now he is helpless. I dont use Outlook. The P910 contacts are stored in Windows Address Book. How to get it into p1i?
Thanks in advance. I am a complete newbie and non-techy.

that is good to hear! I don't use the PC suit at all to sync

I use my own mailservers and it syncs everything with outlook and my phone

I spent the best part of 4 hours moving from P910 to P1 as I never used to use PC suite. Between sync station and USB, installing and uninstalling versions of PC suite to 'match' the phones and having to borrow my wife's laptop because Vista didn't want to play with the sync station, P910 and it's version of PC suite.
Why can't they make PC suite backwards compatible with older phones and their cradles / cables

couldn't you have sent all your contacts and calendar info to your P1 via bluetooth? i would have thought that would be the simplest way.
you would need a 2nd SIM to do it though, but i'm sure you could borrow one for a few minutes. (i keep all my old SIMs precisely for things like these.)

Its indeed the best and most simple way!
Beaming the contacts will keep the whole structure including pictures and ALL (unlike synching with Outlook) contact details. You also can beam your Jotter notes preserving not only the text, but also any scribbles included, although you have to beam them one by one here, whereas contacts can be sent in one go...
