Dear all,

I just tried to update my K800i (original CID 49, actual 52), EROM: R3A016, with the file which can be found in the download area: EROM_FOTA R3B021 for CID52 using XS++.

I followed the instructions which can be found on this board and XS++ said flashing successfully. The phone works fine.

But the EROM didn't change. The software information still says "EROM: R3A016..."

So please help: Did I acually update my EROM or not? In the software-info is written: "Update Service SW
Version of the update-agent: CRH1069179 R3B021..."

If I didn't manage to upgrade the EROM, which possiblities are there?

hi

there is another way to upgrade the erom. the way i've done it is with the wotanclient.

I also tried it with the wotan client before, but same result as with XS++, no change in Firmwaqre information....;-(

I updated manually (with XS++ 3) but no visible changes. Only @ bottom of page it says something about FOTA being R3B021. I assume the part of rom that holds the key to unlocking all networks, is responsible for this. Could I be right? If so, EROM can only be professionally upgraded.
