I have 1 theoretical q. about increasing video fps: FPS count depends on how fast is cpu able to process the input data from camera, correct me if I am wrong. So if we increase cpu mhz we should be able to record better quality video with good fps. But the main q. is if there is any utility for oveclocking SE, I know that there are several of them for smartphones.

I ve posted this question yet in another topic but I want it to be like individual topic to make sure that everyone spot it.

But you must decrease quality to do that....Now if you want have for example 24fps video, the quality is so bad that you cant even record bright video at daylight nor at night.

Afaik, the quality stays the same. There is only a problem with zooming where OCing would help.

The video quality isn't lower with the higher fps (i saw you post this in the k550 thread so i asume you are talking about that) it's just the limitation of the fps has been taken off, its just more FPS. And overclocking the CPU wont help with night video, its the camera, it would need to have a bigger lens to let in more light.

Im not sure if we are talking about the same thing...
With word "quality" I mean that video in 24 fps (in case of k550i with chris driver) is even darker in night mode than with original driver in daylight mode.
So I suppose Chris have had to decrease some parameter (dont know what exactly) to lower video complexicity to enable cpu procesing it faster (in real time). Sry, if I am writing something absolute, I understand when you want to
take good photo at night, the lens must be opened longer, so it cause delay, but I dont thing that during recording video lens is in some way active (opening and closing or something else) so dont see any reason why lens shall cause fps problem. Even old Nokia has better(smoother and brighter) night mode than K550i and dont thing it has better optics, just less kilobytes/s to process. I would be grateful if someone could explain it. thx

And with overclocking comes heat. Imaging ur fone as hot as a coal when handling it!

I always thought the reason it was dark was if it had to take 24 frames per second, that means there is a shorter shutter speed for each picture, making it darker. Im not really sure of cource, maybe we need to find someone that knows what theyre talking about lol.

one can increase video F/S by adding small video controller or accelerator
just like the w900i it has a NVIDIA GoForce GPU...
