"Wellington (dpa) - New Zealand student Fleur de Vere Beavis, 20, who sends up to 100 text messages a day on her mobile phone, has been diagnosed with the country's first known case of texting tenosynovitis, otherwise known as text-messager's thumb, a newspaper reported Sunday."

hahaha really??is that already a disorder?? 1oo text per day? but here in our country(philippines ) i and just like everyone else especially teens, is sending more or less 200 sms messages a day. well i think the reason is our sms is very cheap just .02 us dollar/ sms and we even have unlimited sms texting...you just have to register for a 1 day unlimited sms,2days, or 5 days with the same network provider and regular sms fee with the other providers(.02 dollar)...and also for calls we also have unlimited plan...just 2.5 u s dollar per month with the same network provider and regular fee for other networks(.12 us dollars per minute)....
thats why we are the text(sms) capital of the world ,about 250 million text per day(record year 2005,much more this year and increasing) in one article it is stated that “SMS volume in the Philippines is greater than all the countries of Europe combined,” see these links
