Hi,

The battery in my P1i (R9J005) discharges in less than 12h, even when Wifi and BT is disabled and all apps are closed. (Only 3rd party app open is Blackberry Connect).

Anyone have any clue what this is about?
Anyone else have the same problem?

Thanks

Can't blame Blackberry....The battery may be still new, how old is your phone?

It's around a month old. Seems like a long time for a battery to act up, no?

you could set the brightness to a lower percentage. otherwise, i suggest you to replace the battery or try with another p1 battery(only for a test).

I have the brightness at 50% since noticing, but that doesn't seem to make any difference.

isnt there another p1 user near you? you can try another p1 battery and check if its performance is the same as yours.

do you have swiss manager pro installed and running? When I had it installed, my battery died super quick for some reason

Sounds like the battery's discharging abnormally quickly. Try getting another battery and see if it does the same with that.

If it's doing the same, it's probably a phone problem. I've encountered this before, and it's usually down to moisture damage I'm afraid! Has the phone been wet at all, even just very slightly, e.g. used in light rain, in the bathroom when you had a shower/bath?
