I lost my p990 a month ago and now I am looking into getting a replacement. My question is this : Is Symbian/The OS faster more fluid than it was in p990.

i.e. When i used my p990 for text messaging, it took a few secs to load up messaging menu from cold boot. is it the same case with p1i?

How different do you feel, for users who upgraded from p990 > p1i, using the phone. Is it worth getting it?

Thanks

My p990i was stolen 1 week ago. I've just bought a P1. And it's faster in all ways. Never think about this because after getting P1 you feel you have a new kind of SE smartphone. It's very well improved than all the others.

Basically speed is the same but the large amount of ram works wonders for the P1i. You can keep everything loaded in the background and that makes it (feel) faster. It sure is 'fast enough'.

I am wondering why some members here LOST or get their fones - STOLEN don't you have an ALARM in your mobile phones

RAM really makes a BIG factor for fones to navigate faster . . .

mGuard (a java application) could help you if your phone gets stolen -by sending an SMS to someone you had chosen before- when the SIM card is changed or your phone is rebooted. dunno if it works for smartphones, though.
