Hi There!
I'm with a new P1i, and trying to connect to internal services (mail & Oracle Calendar -SyncML compatible-) on Lan side trough network connection on the PC, but until the moment I had no success...
Does anyone knows something I need to setup on my P1i or at the PC?
The PC Suite is installed and running.
Thanks in advance!
A great 2008 for all in this forum

I forgot to mention that every time I try to access common LAN aplications like email or browse internal web sites, I get a warning on P1i "Problem connecting Comms line failed".
Could there be any soul who can help me on this?
Thx !

I had the same desire with my M600i and didn't succeed.
I gave SE a call and they responded that this featute was lacking in the new phone software. Dunno if it is related to Symbian or Uiq software.
However, the support guy said that a Bluetooth connection could be used instead, i.e. outside of mRouter software.

You can use Bluetooth PAN profile on your device, or create an ad-hoc wifi network between your computer and the P1.
The wifi should be faster.

Bluetooth 2.0 has a maximum bitrate of 3Mbps. (Both units must have 2.0 for that to work (I'm not even sure if the phones have it), and Bluetooth 1.1 only reaches 721kbps).
WiFi (802.11b) has a maximum bitrate of 11Mbps.
In other words, WiFi should be a LOT faster.

I've tried to start a Bluetooth PAN connection but even so, I'm not 'exiting' my device...
For me it's completely out-of-mind to have a device that only connects trough wireless access (WiFi or 3G/GPRS). What about the local USB connection and the deskstand? It's only to copy files and install software?...doesn't make sense.
Even BlackBerry connects from a USB cable!
