The led is behind... I have never seen that changing colour..

Looks like a light sensor to me, could be wrong though.

And if you go into the secret menu and did the LED/Illumination test it should flash then. I also flashes when it needs charging, but, i'm saying these things work on my T650i, but i'm guessing it's the same on your phone.

I dont think is a led that flashes when the battery is empty . there is one at the back for that..

thats not a button its a light sensor it adjusts the screens brightness according to how bright/dark natural/artificial light shines on that little sensor there:)

The light sensor is always enabled. Try setting your brightness level to 100 % and then compare the screen light in dark surroundings and then bright surroundings. The screen will be duller in the dark surroundings.

Ahh, just thought i'd mention it because it flashes on my T650i when the battery is nearly out.
