> s500i replacement lcd screen fitting
Bookmark topic
I recently dropped my sony ericsson s500i, which i purchased for christmas. I took it to the o2 shop and they said that it was not covered in my warranty and thus, the problem is mine, not theirs.
I am very upset about this, However i have managed to source a new screen off ebay, and its quite cheap. So i am wondering: Is it going to be possible for me, a normal dude who has never opened a phone before to fit this screen, and am i going tohave a tough time doing it?
Thats all really, if any of you have instructions on how to replace the lcd screen i would be very gratefull indeed, as this was my main christmas present:(

hi i hav a s500i too my phone screen cracked and broke as well. me and my dad fixed it
heres how:
1 take the screen off. theres a groove under the bottom of the screen section if you look closely, ther are also clips under the sides of the faceplate.
2 pry out the screen. there are clips on the top and on the sides. there is also a connector underneath so dont just rip it out.
3 put the new screen in make sure u connect the connector up on the new screen.
4 put the faceplate back on.
5 youre done, turn it on and enjoy!
hope it helps
