Stomach Bug Sweeping the UK

People struck down by a stomach bug sweeping the UK have been urged not to go back to work.

Doctors estimate more than 100,000 people a week are catching norovirus, which causes diarrhoea and vomiting.

Workers need to remain at home for 48 hours after the symptoms have gone and stay away from surgeries and hospitals, the Royal College of GPs warned.

Let's hope i don't get this thing, already got to have a disciplinary for having 3 periods of absence in a year even if it was 4 single days.

More people off work = more overtime for me

I hope I don't get it at all. I hate being ill even if it does mean time off work.

I'm quite lucky in that respect, I never have a cold or flu etc, and I think I know why....

I'm quite a warm person and like to be cool, so in winter its very rare to see me wearing a jumper/coat. Its just jeans and t-shirt for me, so my body is used the coldness. And also when it comes to cooking, i never wash my fruit or veg, that helps build up your antibodies (which protects against bacteria)

It is all psychological in my opinion, I have not had a cold in 6 months since I started eating more fruit and veg (5+ each day) - I wouldn't bet against it being the fruit an veg you are eating that is keeping you healthy as opposed to the dirt on them.
