Hey guys! I have my new p1i for a couple days now, and I must say it rocks! I just thought i'd post this as I'm seeing some posts about having issues syncing their contacts, emails, etc.... I have no issues whatsoever in syncing my phone with my emails and contacts. I use the activesync software preinstalled with P1i (on P910, I had to get Roadsync, which was $29 I think). Anyway, to cut the story short, I host my own servers as my company is a webhosting company, and we've deployed a new service which is mail hosting with Push capability. So now I dropped BB, and have my emails/contacts/calendar/notes sync automatically with my email and outlook.
If I change phones, or do a reset, I just put my login in activesync and it will sync again with my mailserver all my contacts and emails
And there are no 3rd party apps that login to my mailserver (like what Tmobile Blackberry service does) to push the emails. And it's cheaper than getting a redirect service like BB or Seven.
Just thought I'd tell you guys. This is no way an ad, that's why I did not put any company name or price or anything in that regard. Just thought I'd share this with you guys since you've been helpful since the day I joined esato
