well as title, can i flash my s500 to a w580 via Davinci?


also, one other (off topic) q quickly, ive got all the drivers installed for my s500 and pc suite installed, my mate wants me to debrand (not to w580) his s500 at my house, do i need to put the pc suite cd in again and install his drivers too?

why to do it with davinci if you can do it for free with xs++ v3.1?

things you need:

- w580 firmware: FS and MAIN
- custom pack
- usbflash drivers(no need pc suite)
- xs++ v3.1

i know bout this method @tranced!

but i have not used it....... I bought a Davinci credit by mistake too, so have one spare. And if i can use that, id prefer it tbh!

Though if it absolutely CANNOT be done, then ill have to learn how to use XS.

well, i have never used this methods(davinci, wotan, etc), so i cant say whether they do it or not. though you could contact them and ask if they can.

i remember a couple of years ago with davinci you could select any firmware, as it had them all listed. Though now-a-days it only gives you ones for your phone, so thought it could be done.

any confirm this?

w580 has different hardware to s500 - radio and accelerometer. Flashing is possible, but these features will not function - although you will get flash themes.

yes i know radio/fitness app/shake feature wont work just prefer the player! everything else will work fine.............

Hi everyone, this is a noobie alert. Lol. I have a S500i and I also want to flash it to be a w580i. The thing is, I like the everchanging theme that comes with the s500. Will I lose this theme if I flash the software?
