I have some text messages i want to keep, and my phone says that i'm nearing max. number of messages limit, so is there a way to back these up on memory card? I searched the forum, one suggestion was to save each text message as templates, but i also use templates function and don't want it cluttered. Besides, that may have a lower limit than that of the SMS inbox?

Thanks in advance..!

what phone you got?
on k850 its a standard option, on earlier SE phones you might be able to change it via XS3.0

Hmm. I have the W810.

I wrestled with Sony Ericsson File Manager, but that doesn't do any good, or i couldn't find where to look.

I was wondering the same thing. I have a K850i and when I choose to save a message it goes to the sim card. Yet when you look at the 'manage messages' it shows a saved messages folder. I do have the messages store on the memory card as default but I just want to move them from the inbox to the saved messages folder.

Any way of pulling it off with the K810?

That'd be a useful option, everytime I go out and buy a new phone, I lose my text messages. It happens so often, its annoying me even more.

You could try changing your phone less often

Oh, I don't change them SOO often.. The problem is, when the phone is with me for long, it means more text messages that will be lost. I only change my phone once its become outdated (or something goes wrong).
My last phone, for example, was a Nokia 6670.. slowest phone ever. Anyway, it was hit by a virus from my cousin's phone via Bluetooth, may it R.I.P..

By the way, this phone explorer application, can it save SMSes to the memory card? I just checked out the first page, doesn't say anything of the sort
