HTC Titans!!!! will the phone that is worst in this regard

Tytn was released early part of 2006 and its nearly 2 years and a new one would still cost 400-500$( original 800 $)

So would be TYTN II.. its price has not budged a bit since release

Champion in this area would be symbian phones whose price drop like anything.... May be p990i would be no. 1

From 1000$ to 300 $ in 8-10 months !!!!

What is going to be the fate of N95 8 gb ?????

Give in ur opinions !!!!!

Here in Oman the price of the HTC TyTN II has dropped below the i-mate JASJAM (HTC TyTN). Probably related to the poor multimedia performance of the new phone...

Just because the TyTN II has dropped below the TyTN in price doesn't mean that it's cheap. All phones here are sold unlocked and unsubsidized. The TyTN branded as i-mate JASJAM will be yours for USD 800 and the TyTN II for slightly less.

@drgopoos

Personally i think the P990 will take some beating at it was more than a $1000 on launch it was expected to be brilliant and due to the fact it wasn't was why it dropped so fast and continued to drop for the first 9 moths of it's life. It was a great spec when announced with great features for the time , but by the time it arrived and all the problems it had was what caused the Market to react the way it did.

The N95 8G on the other hand delivered class leading features and addressed any problems with the original N95 and with two quickly released firmwares has improved greatly since. After all it is the first and only devcie to have not only demand paging on release but also now Flash Lite 3.0 support in the Web Browser. I really wouldn't expect it's price to plummet any time soon although all devcies do become cheaper after they have been in the market for some time.

From what i have seen the SE K850 is doing a good job of dropping in price again due to problems with it on release but SE prices in general tend to drop shortly after release anyway.

Marc

In the UK marketplace Nokia models retain long term value better because they never hit the saturated PAYG sector until after discontinuation,SE and Samsung models tend to go on PAYG immediatly upon release.
