Hello,
I'm new to UIQ and putting video files onto smart phones so I'm sorry if this is a dumb question.
I can't seem to get videos to work on my W960i I've converted the video using AVS Video Converter to a mp4 320x240 file but when i transfer using the file manager to the phone the phone doesn't see the file. And when I use the media manager it says something about encoding.
Can anyone give me some assistance?
Thanks in advance
-edit- Put UIC instead of UIQ

Hi,try this tools:)
You can view the user manual and find which format should be suppoerted. and then convert to it .
I suggest you use Moyea Video Converter. It works greatly with the high output quality. You just need to drag the files to the file list and then click to convert if you don't need to modify the video.
But you must notice the video frames rate and try 15 frames per second.
If that still work,reinstall the manage software,may be fix:)

@thebacon
try M3 it's a really simple program for converting to mp4.
just use the preset for p990, i personaly use 40% sharpen to make the videos even better.
then hit convert, you can convert multiple files just make a simple cue, by dropping you files in a window.

Upgrade the Sony Media software to the pro version and it ought to convert video's to the appropriate format automagically. Not entirely certain whether it will convert from all the formats you're interested in (am at work and software in at home) but it worked a treat with some short Formula 1 videos I transferred last night. They look and sound great.
$10 for the upgrade (Ģ5 for the UK and Sony are dumb enough to forget to add the VAT at the moment so get it while it's hot).

M3 is a beta program, but no doubt an excellent one, though it is never officially published. And the website is down now.
