Hi,

I read in the p1iblog.com that you need to subscribe and pay a monthly fee to use GPS, is it true?!

Let's say you buy the GPS cum walkman earphone, and use TomTom latest version, do you need to subscribe to your service provider and pay them every month to use the GPS network?

Please advise!

GPS itself is free...

Sometimes you need to pay for data transfer (some apps need to download maps through gprs or something) or extra features (spoken directions) but that all depends on the application and not on the gps ability itself.

The question is if that headset gps thing works with tomtom, if it's supported. If it IS then you can use it free of charge (apart from buying tomtom). Using tomtom with a holux gpslim device for a while already without any problems.

I guess not cause I'm having HGE-100 and tried with google maps mobile 2.01 on K850, google maps mobile doesn't know / recognise the HGE-100.

SE have and option to use the HGE-100 with Wayfinder Navigator 7 and it work flowlessly but trial for 1 month only. the option to buy only for US or UK only.
