Hi all
Above is a link to VODAFONE GREECE who offer a service similar to Orange UK whereby you can have one phone but two numbers associated to the SIM. It seems in the UK only Orange offer this service.
1) Am I right that only orange offer this serice in the UK?
2) Are you like me, generaly happy with VODAFONE, but would like to see this service in the UK?
If so please say so in this thread and also drop VF customer services an email, who knows they may even listen. Personaly I think this is a great service and would like to see it in the UK.
Thanks JD

The link doesnt seem to be working for me but i remember ages ago when i was on orange you could press and hold # on a nokia and it would switch to line 2. Is that what you meant? Surely its still problematic as someone could be calling on the other line...

First of all this seems like a business plan not really for personal plans and from what I read from the English translation it seems you need to be on contract, I will look at the Greek version later see if anything was lost in translation.
But this is a great little idea and I think more companies should adopt such a policy. Though doing so will mean people will not splash out on several handsets for their different numbers.
In response to liking Vodafone I found that the Vodafone Group may have some good ideas which I would like to see implemented however I don’t think this is going to happen any time soon.
Basically Vodafone GR and Vodafone UK are two different entities almost, for me it would have made sense to see similar services from both providers but this does not seem to be the case as this thread shows.
On another note, no point emailing customer services if you are in the UK they seem incapable of dealing with a simple situation mainly because they cannot read! But there you go that is my personal experience.
So on the whole, am I satisfied with Vodafone GR? Hell yes, good service, practical solutions and options for customers to allow them to get the most out of their phones wherever they are.
Am I satisfied with Vodafone UK? Nope, would I consider Vodafone as a future provider? If Vodafone Group aligns their actions and gets the good ideas from their international subsidiaries and uses them in the UK sure, if they operate as they do now not a chance.
Upon further request I can provide an insight into how thick some of the customer service people within Vodafone UK are
