Other than increasing the brightness via the settings menu, there is no other way.
I find the screen sufficiently bright, though...

thats right, my fone screens are usually on the lowest level and it gives me far longer standy as with brighter screen. alo its useful ( when its among the features 9 to set backlight off after shortest time ( i use usually 10 sec )

i ve set the screen to lowest brightness level... still find it bright enough.... if urs is not then guess u need to get ur phone serviced!
