i recently upgraded from the w610i to the k850i. The 512 mb is a bit small for my liking so i took the 2 gig m2 stick that i had in my 610 and formated it on my laptop using fat file system. The phone reads the stick and I can save things to it, but every time i start it up it comes up with a screen that asks if i want to format the card and loose everything on the disc. I tried to format the stick but it asks for the phone lock code. I entered the lock for my sim but it said I had the wrong code. Does anyone know where I could find the unlock code so I can just format the stick in the phone to get rid of the message?

A somewhat more informative answer is that it is the phone's security code it asks for, not your SIM's PIN code. The security code can be used to prevent other SIM cards than yours to be used in your phone, for example, or to prevent critical operations, like formatting the memory card to be made by an unauthorized person. The default security code is 0000, and you should change it. An easy-to remember code is to use the same value as the SIM PIN code. It is set somewhere in settings/security/locks/phone
