Even as a BB user, this looks pretty but wouldnt want to make me move across, but does look like it might be popular.
Something dougproctor might go for....

Anyone heard any more about this phone?...or better still got one already?
-In particular, I heard a rumour that the GPS was locked, meaning 3rd party aps (i.e. Tom Tom) won't work on it - is this true?

That and no easy way for 1-handed navigation because of that touch/laser finger sensor for a mouse and pseudo-D-Pad ... I'm staying away from.
To be honest I'm staying away from any WM 6 (Standard or Pro) for a LONG LONG time. To me their not intuitive, non user-friendly, and definitely non self sufficient without tweaking, or 3rd Party Utilities. The Motorola Q9h, left a disdainful taste in my hand ... out of the box you cannot copy & paste simple text!
Each to their own as always, but WM not for me.

J273 - Now that I check, I believe that I heard this from you... on coolsmartphone.com ...I'm guessing that is your post there?
So, really, I should be asking you where you heard it lol.
-Ive read quite a lot about this phone and like it. However, if I knew Orange were going to bring out the N95 8GB that would probably just take it. Its a close call... what do you think, if you don't mind me asking.

Ahhh ok lol....Well i heard it off a guy who has one and he tells me it only works with samsungs bundled navigon app.
For me id rather have the i780 over the n95 this is only because i prefer WM though.

Well I just picked up a Samsung SGH-i617 (blackjack II) and the thing freaking BLOWS.
I won't even comment on WM6 - one word - UGH!
The battery life stinks (and supposedly the battery was improved from the last version). Fully charged at night, one bar in the morning.
Everything else is not bad. Granted Samsung phones are almost always composite plastic material. BUT it is well put together. No creaks, etc.
Regardless I'll never venture over to WM6 anytime soon. Pee-U!
