Hi guys,
Got an unlocked P990i from Expansys today and put it through the update service. Have Phone R7A001 and Organiser R3B01.
I am sure I read about a R9 firmware now out that sorts out lots of the reasons why I have returned three of these phones in the past year or so.
I think I do not have the World Class 1 Generic CDA but a UK Generic one. Can someone point me in the right direction for a FREE and EASY solution to upgrade this phone please?
I know there is a lot of threads on here about various methods of doing this, paying or otherwise but they are so difficult to understand. SIMPLE please?

The guys who made the flashing instructions put it quite systematically IMO, so I don't think it could be any simpler. It might seem complicated but if you follow it step by step, you'll see it's not that hard to do. Complicated perhaps but not hard. I've converted a Singapore Generic to a WG1 myself with the instructions here

BTW, how come you're at R3B01 with UK Generic? We're talking ancient here, even if you don't convert it to WG1, you should at least get it to update to R6A01 as documented

Sorry, getting this message "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at forums.se-nse.net."

Is there problems with this site? Have found XS++ but not the script package for EPOC smartphones I need for the P990i.

When running XS++ I get this "Error - cannot open phone communication port". Any ideas please?
