Last night my battery died, and before going to sleep I plugged it to recharge, but didn't start the phone....

This morning (just a few hours after falling asleep), my alarm went of... I don't remember how I turned it off as I was annoyed and sleepy (most probably just clicked done).

I wake up, try to turn on the phone, it loads, then restarts... then loads, the alarm sound goes off again for a split second, and restarts...

It's been restarting over and over again!

Tried to search, but couldn't find something quickly enough. Since I can't use my phone I thought to post and see if you guys know a solution!

Try taking out the battery and trying it again.

If it still don't work, maybe a SEUS.

I did try removing the battery...

I don't want to update, cause I don't want to loose my phone book which I haven't backed up in a while

Any other thoughts?

In all honesty, I doubt the phone is going to just start working again. You could try backing up the GDFS with XS++ (on W810, phonebook is stored in GDFS but I don't really think its a surefire way)

http://uiq3.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Dokumentation/Reset - You could try that but TBH, its on the same lines as an update.

Insha'Allah your phone will work with the data.

..If you charged it on a docking station - did you try putting it down again (getting the white screen with the charging icon) - and then turning the phone on? (Not sure, but I think something similar to this happened to someone else a while back.)

Man, since the phone has been off for some time, I woke up this morning and I couldn't find it!

I will try the different reset methods in the above link, just as soon as I find my phone! Thanks qwerty12.

@Nipsen, I didn't use a docking station, just phone connected to the charger. I did also try to connect it to the charger while it was off, but I got the same problem.... The SE animated logo would show up, starts loading the phone, and restarts.. Over and over again...

I think the battery trick from the link might be a solution. I'll let you know what happens.

Do post your results saab_rider.

I have the exact same problem with my phone... it'll randomly do it throughout the day - in the middle of phone calls, looking at my e-mail, and just sitting there! I've done a firmware with SEUS like three or four times trying to get rid of this problem, and it never seems to go away..

I think this might be my last Sony Ericsson if I don't get a new firmware update to fix this problem soon.

You could try removing the m2 card and then rebooting, have you installed anything recently?

So I tried everything I can think of, but nothing resolved the problem...

I ended up using SEUS and the phone is working fine now.

I do have a backup of my contacts and all... But I need to re-configure my e-mails, preferences etc... which is a bit annoying.
