When using Mac and transfering files with my USB cable, the Mac leaves ds.store files everywhere around in the memory card and I can not delete them with the built-in file manager.

Any ideas of how to delete or stop the Mac from spreading such stuff around?

you can just delete them on your mac, plug in the phone, or put the card in a reader and simply delete them. They are teeny tiny anyway, so I wouldn't worry about them taking up space.

OK, I got it now.

"Show hidden system files" and there they are, funny little buggers.
