> good program or site to unlock a phone

hi, just need advice from more experienced peeps of esato
I have a program to unlock phones that I downloaded from unlockme.co.uk, but it's pretty old, dated 2003. I would like to unlock my phone, a Nokia 6030, but it is not listed there. anyone knows what option I should use?
or, does anyone knows any good program to use? I also have a Cingular's LG phone (a friend's friend's phone) to unlock. there are a lot
if none of the above works, I'd have to turn to eBay for the last hope.

I do not understand why the phones were locked at first. Do they legally belong to you guys because if they dont and what you want to do is unlawfull.

here in the US, the carriers make it their habit to sell phones specifically tailored to their need. unless you buy your phone off e-Bay or in chinatown, your cellphone will almost likely locked to a specific provider.
the phone is mine, of course. it's a prepaid phone and I do not have outstanding payment on the phone. unlocking just means that I will be able to use another carrier's sim card in the phone. for example, the phone that I want to unlock is a Nokia 6030, locked and branded for T-Mobile use only. when I put Cingular's sim card, the phone won't work.
the only illegal thing I know is changing the IMEI (serial number) of the phone. unlocking a phone is not illegal.

Well it looks like a multi choice since there are many options here. You can still do it
via the DCT4 calculator or through the nokiaunlock.us but I have hope that one of these wil help you a lot and good luck
