I know you can do it on the virtual keyboard and no doubt using hand writing recognition; but can you do it using the actual keyboard buttons?

For the £ sign you press the , key multiple times until you reach the sign you want. Actually if you press , once a little menu will appear on top

That doesn't work for me. If I press the , key multiple times I just get ,,,,,,. Maybe because I'm not using predictive text or something. I also don't get the pop-up pre-edit box when I press the key.

I tried it now without predictive text and still works. What language do you use for writing or ou have on the phone? Do you have some localisation installed?

I inadvertently flashed my phone with the latest arabic firmware (which SEUS recommended when I checked my firmware). Maybe that's causing an issue then... I bought my phone from mobileExpress (which is owned by dialaPhone). they must buy cheap imports or something.
