Ok, I know I'm new here...but bear with me. I've had my k790a for about 4 months now. I de-branded it using Wotanserver in about the first month that I had my phone (mostly for mp3-related things). 2 days ago, I wanted to transfer some music onto my cell phone. I never had problems connecting my cell phone to my computer before this. I hooked it up via the USB, and selected "file transfer", as I always do. My phone screen went white, then black. This usually happened...but then went on to a "connection established" screen, as I call it. This connection established screen did not show up this time, and my computer did not detect my phone. The memory at least (64meg (cell) or my 4gb M2), that usually shows up on my screen and asks how I want to open it, did not appear. I unhooked the phone, and figured I would try again...After I unplugged it from the computer, the phone was off, or frozen - I couldn't tell (I did not turn it off before I unplugged it). I had to re-insert the battery before the Power button worked tho. Once I tried to turn it on, it loaded up the SonyEricsson screen, and hung there...indefinitely. It doesn't turn off via power button once it's frozen there either, only way to turn off is by taking out the battery. I tried to connect it back to my computer, thinking maybe that how it messed up, will fix it. My computer did not detect the phone itself...but detected something called a SonyEricsson Ethernet 049 adapter (name might not be exact), and Usb Flash Drive. I tried to use SEUS to update software, but my phone software was already updated and nothing was done...I went through the troubleshooting on their website, but it did not help. I called their service...and they said to mail in the phone. This is what I will end up doing, but first I want to try every possibility that I can to fix it myself before sending it away. I figured, what better place to ask than here. I have above average computer knowledge, and what I don't understand, I will google (and read of course). I have not gotten the phone wet, or damaged it in any way.
What I'm asking for, is help, or suggestions as to what may have went wrong, or how I can fix it. I figured this would probably be the best place to post, as it is a specific forum, so chances are, I could get some help (fingers crossed).
If the information I have given is not sufficient, I'll post whatever is needed to solve this dilemma.
Thank you, and sorry for the long post. Posting one long one just saves time than posting 3 short ones with bits and pieces.

Thank you for replying. Sadly, I don't have a SonyEricsson Repair Centre in my city, so that's out. I got the phone on a 3-year contract from Rogers (forgot to mention in main post)...And as I would assume, de-branding voids the warranty on the phone from them. If I'm mistaken, please let me know.
I'm going to bed now, I'm in central time, and have University in the morning. I will check the forum before I leave, and as soon as I get home.
Thanks.
