Hi,

I have just bought some HPM-82 headphones and plugged them into my K850i and it doesnt even realise they're there!

I see that they were on the bug list for 029 firmware, is that still the case for 037? Or should it be seeing the headphones and just not working through them?

Trying to figure out if I have a dud set.

Thanks for the help,
Alex

Sounds like a dud set, mine worked fine (until they were pinched on Friday!)

Weird, i tried them in the girlfriends W810i and they worked fine!

Maybe this is something to do with the firmware I have, Customized_UK ?

I have the exact same problem - I returned the headphones and the new ones are still not recognised. It's a known issue that randomly affects K850i. My firmware is up to date! The headphones work on other SE phones I have tested with. I have returned the phone twice for other reasons - it is rubbish - I'm now just waiting for the shutter to start jamming and buttons to fully stop working (they barely work at moment), like everyone else and I will gladly drive over this phone! I will never ever ever buy another SE phone and I will never recomend them to anyone - go Nokia or HTC or Motorolla but not SE!

Hi,

guess i found a solution...Firstly most SE fones have the default profile set as "Normal" which does not allow any Accessories to be added...Switch to any other Profile...go Edit it and add an accessory as "Portable Handsfree"...save and come out...Now plug in the HPM82 and it should detect it...

I was scratching my head as my HPM82 was not even getting detected by my fone and came to this forum for help..I even got my HPM82 replaced thinking it might be faulty.....From this forum got the idea that u can actually add a handsfree...A bit of R&D and bang on target....Even the walkman buttons on the HPM82 work fine...

Hope this helps...

Thanks..

My W995i won't recognise the MXE-60 flash and the MPS speakers set...but it does recognise the HPM-82!
