The best freeware application for Sony Ericsson feature phones "MyPhoneExplorer" or MPE now supports Symbian UIQ3 phones like P1, M600, P990, W960, G900, G700 etc.

Update: A new version of My Phone Explore (version 1.7) released with full Symbian UIQ3 support.

Get the latest version from here: http://www.fjsoft.at/en/downloads.php

* Organizer with calendarview and direct sync to Outlook, Sunbird, Thunderbird, Rainlendar, Lotus Notes, Google and net shared calendars (WebDAV, FTP, local)
* SMS - archive, export, import, excessive messages,...
* Filebrowser with cachesystem to minimize datatransfer...

Looks like it could be useful when phone contacts can be accessed...

Try it,

i dont know exactly wether it supports Contacts in phone memory or not, in my test it failed to get the contacts from phone memory. Lets hear from other p1i users.

am using it for texting.

And F.J says u need to install PC Suite for Smartphone and m-Router to work.

Ahh, you should've told me sooner. I just deleted all my messages. Haha.

But thanks, rishone.

I did notice that it only sync messages only from the inbox and sent items folder. If you have messages in another folder, it won't sync that one.

Sorry - should have been a bit clearer...

I browsed the forum and downloaded the software. I have tried it. The interface is great. Maybe handy for sending texts - that was good being able to browse SMS and calls etc... but without access to phone contacts and organiser it seems a bit limited!

The phone keypad is quite clever... I sussed most of the buttons - the arrow down button doesn't seem to work and I could not work out how to change the volume via the interface using a P1.

the monitor page would only say 'no indication' for all the temp, voltage, charging type info - maybe that's the phone maybe it's the software...

File explorer - nice interface - but no apparent benefit over just connecting with PC suite...

If I missed stuff or got something wrong let me know - I love stuff like this and there are usually things it takes a while to work out

thanks for the link.

I don't know the reason but I can't connect to the phone with the USB cable. I plug the cable and the computer found all the stuff like P1 Application port COM6 etc...

I try every connection type in MyPhone Explorer but it keeps saying that the phone is not identified.

What could be wrong?
